East Berlin 1990
25 years ago the GDR came to en end. How East Berlin looked, is almost forgotten today. This movie captured by Stefan Münster in the winter of 1990 is a authentic document of the last days of the GDR.
East Berlin 24 years ago. A gray cold winter day. You see an old East German tram in front of a gray suburbs settlement. Socialism takes us on his last journey. Among the hypnotic techno sounds by Efdemin. Passing by old GDR cars called Trabbi; an anti-capitalist atmosphere, that the children of the modern turbo-capitalism actually no longer can imagine. Nowhere ads, no promotions to do, and to buy. Phenomenology of the moment. No consumption fog obscured the view of the naked truth of the declining Socialism: grayness and abandonment.
