Techno in Famagusta
Famagusta is a pretty town in Northern Cyprus and was founded already 300 BC. Due to the isolation of
the Northern part, turizm didn’t develop so rapoid.ç That has the adventage of the preservation of
nature and the historical heritage.
After the disappointment of the referendum 2007, the North voted for, the South againt a
reunification, the Turkish parts youth is searching salvation in other things then politics. Five
DJ’s are part of the music wave “Get naked”, its not a slogan for table dancing, but the expression of
the wish to get rid of all prejudices. They perform high quality techno on the islanf and meet during
the summer every Saturday on a beach close to Famagusta for the coolest parties, we have seen for a
long time. Reminded me Berlin in the early 1990th. In the Video we see Miss Lilo, a DJ from the
Ukraine, who is part of the group.
