Day for Night

Photos by Nicolas Brodard: “I started this photographic series in 2010 and have amended it during my frequent trips to Istanbul. The pictures represent the virtues that I personally associate with the city. Usually saturated and noisy, Istanbul proves to be lonesome and serene.

Far from a sharp-minded point of view, I settled for a Day for Night atmosphere. Composed of artificial lights and colours, these ideal scenes are not pictures of Istanbul, but rather pictures taken in Istanbul.”
