Earth Table – Istanbul

Thousands of protesters gathering to built an Earth Table from Galatasaray to Taksim Square, Istanbul. The Iftar is a collective form of breaking the fasting in Ramadan. While Turkish police blocked the entrance of Taksim Square and warned people to leave from the area the Earth Table was bşooming as a symbol for peace and coexistence of different life models.

The Revolutionary Muslims and Anti-Capitalist Muslims called for fast-breaking iftar dinner on Istiklal Street while the local municipality hosted a dinner in Taksim Square by the Gezi Park. People marched in the square and park after the withdrawal of the police.
